At EcoGrid Technologies, we stand out as a cutting-edge, industrial-focused B2B specialized solution provider, thanks to our history as hands-on experts.

Founder George Filtsos, who began his journey as an electrician apprentice, digging trenches to lay conduits, stumbled into the lighting controls industry by accident. Yet, it was this fortuitous turn of events that set the stage for his remarkable journey. With an extensive background at industry giants like Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Leviton, and GE, George’s diverse experience laid a solid foundation for our mission to enhance energy efficiency through cutting-edge technology.

George’s career took a pivotal turn in 2015 when he joined Daintree Networks, a Silicon Valley-based startup (founded in Australia) poised to disrupt the lighting controls industry with groundbreaking open-standards based IoT solutions. At Daintree, George served as the VAR Channel Manager, overseeing operations in 14 states across the Midwest USA and specializing in fostering growth through Energy Savings Contractors (ESCOs). While his main role was coaching them on incorporating IoT controls into their projects, it was the students who ended up teaching the master as a handful of the most successful VARs taught George the fundamentals of holistic energy efficiency project design and implementation.

The Daintree VARs ended up as mentors and inspiration for bigger things. Following Daintree’s acquisition by GE, George was further inspired to innovate within the energy efficiency sector, leading to the establishment of EcoGrid Technologies in 2017. Under his leadership, EcoGrid has made significant strides, conserving over 11.88  MWh (and counting) of energy  through its advanced wireless controls, Smart Power Services, and IoT solutions.

Today, EcoGrid Technologies is acclaimed for redefining standards in energy-efficient projects. Our commitment to leveraging the digital ceiling ensures future-proof investments and positions us as a leader in sustainable energy practices. Our strategy of implementing comprehensive IoT solutions delivers considerable energy savings and high ROI for our clients, exemplifying our dedication to sustainability.
